11/23/2016 12:00:00 AM

If you’ve been given the task of planning this year’s office Holiday party, fret not, for the Franklin Chauffeur has got your back! The task can seem daunting to some, but luckily, we’ve compiled a list of helpful tips to make your first office party planning expedition a great success!

ESTABLISH A BUDGET

First things first, figure out how much money that corporate is willing to spend on this event. The budget sets the tone for the rest of the planning process. It helps you to determine where the event can be held, if guests are permitted, how much can be spent on catering, etc.

PICK A DATE/VENUE

Now that you know how much you can spend on this party, establish a date. Factor in the vacation time taken by most of the employees. Decide whether it should be held before the holiday or afterward. Once you’ve chosen a date, you can now set up times to see venues in the surrounding area. When choosing a venue, take your guests into consideration. How far will they have to travel? What is the proximity of the venue to hotels, bars, or other nightlife?

SEND OUT INVITATIONS!

This is an essential step, as you want people to attend the beautiful party that you’ve taken so much time to plan. Start by emailing out a save the date, and follow with more formal invitations if you wish.

DECIDE ON CATERING/ENTERTAINMENT

A party isn’t a party without good food and drink. When choosing a catering company, ensure that the meal concurs with any dietary restrictions of your guests. Decide whether you’ll have a sit-down meal, a buffet, or finger foods for guests to enjoy all evening. What sort of beverages will you have at your office party? Figure in the tastes of your guests as well, whether they drink alcohol or not, etc.

PLAN TRANSPORTATION

The best way to thank your guests is to provide transportation for them, whether it is from the office or from their homes. At the Franklin Chauffeur, we maintain a clean fleet of Lincoln MKT Towncars and Chevrolet Suburbans that meet your high standards for professionalism. The Lincoln MKT Towncar holds a maximum of three passengers while the Chevrolet Suburbans can hold up to six or seven passengers. Each vehicle has leather seats, some with seat warmers, and we provide bottled water for all our clients.
